Reiki Healing In Person

Reiki Healing In Person
Reiki is a form of high-vibrational energy healing, that can be enjoyed in person, or from a distance.
A Reiki Healing Session provides a relaxing and positive way to help you heal your whole body. It promotes physical, emotional, mental and energetic wellbeing without forcing change. It is deeply relaxing and soothing - amplifying, supporting and encouraging your own body’s natural healing abilities.
Reiki is suitable for any age. It can be enjoyed in-person (in West Penwith, Cornwall) either at your home/holiday accommodation or at a relaxing venue arranged by Kari. The session lasts for 1 to 1.5 hours.
Reiki can support you in many ways, and can be different for each individual. However, generally it often helps with:
Releasing stress, overwhelm and emotional tension
Nourishing the nervous system, and helping soothe anxiety
Aiding the body’s natural healing process
Supporting the grieving process, or deep feelings/emotions that are hard to express
Restoring energy when you feel fatigued or out-of-balance
Creating a more harmonious whole-body system, encouraging deeper and more restful sleep
Providing a deep sense of relaxation and well-being
Supporting clarity of mind and direction
Providing a sense of resourcefulness and steadiness during times of upheaval or change
Reconnecting with intuition and inner knowing

How an in-person Reiki session with me looks like:
We arrange in advance where the location of the Reiki will be held - whether at your home/accommodation or at a designated wellbeing space.
On arrival - if you haven’t had a healing session with me previously - we will go through a short questionnaire, and discuss how you are feeling in that moment, and what you are bringing to the session that you would like support with.
When you are ready, you will settle on the couch under a blanket, fully-clothed and facing up.
Once I have tuned in, I will hover or place my hands gently on specific points on the body, which I will demonstrate to you before the session, to ensure you feel completely comfortable.
The Reiki healing energy passes through my hands and will go where it needs to go. I am just the vessel - the conductor, if you like. I am deeply tuned in during the process, listening, guiding and responding to where the guidance and my intuition takes me.
You may enter a deep sense of relaxation, or may even fall asleep - it is all perfect! You may feel heat or a cool ‘breeze’ where my hands are laid, or other gentle sensations throughout the body, such as tingling or gentle waves of warmth. Some see colours or have dreamlike experiences. Occasionally there may be a gentle emotional release. All my clients have found the experience very soothing and relaxing.
Once the Reiki healing is complete, there is time to gently share and reflect anything that came up for either of us during the session. I always ensure that you are grounded and ready to step back into your day feeling good!
After Reiki, it is particularly important to keep hydrated and to be gentle with yourself.
Reiki does move energy. Like other holistic practices - such as homeopathy, reflexology etc - very occasionally existing conditions may temporarily flare up slightly. This is a natural release and will quickly pass. Rest, drink plenty of water and eat well, trusting that your body knows what it is doing and has something it needs to clear from your system. In the infrequent times this has happened to my clients, they have reported feeling much better after 24-48 hours, with fewer symptoms following the treatment.
Reiki is a gentle practice, although the benefits can be profound. A few treatments may be required for deep-rooted issues or conditions, but you are under no pressure to commit to more than one session, and it is entirely self-led whether you would like more sessions.
Reiki is extremely supportive and has helped people with all manner of conditions. It can work beautifully alongside conventional medicine, but I advise that it should not substitute medical attention. If you have life-threatening, severe, chronic or debilitating condition please consult a medical professional.
